Trauma therapy, couple therapy and family therapy for queers and weirdos.
Bridging Science with Spiritual. Bringing the mystical into the practical.
I’ve been doing trauma treatment for 10 years using Somatic Experiencing. Somatic Experiencing is a gentle modality that honours where people are at and what their capacity is. My focus, in trauma therapy, is to make sure folks feel deeply connected to themselves, their preferences and their goodness before jumping in to reprocess trauma.
Many of the clients I see have C-PTSD and come to therapy with several different types of trauma.

Relational therapy is how I am trained and it lives in my very core as a therapist. I am interested in working with couples and families on what brings them together and then working to change the issues they have in what pulls them apart.
In all relational work, I work in service of the relationship to strengthen bonds, promote understanding and work towards communicating more effectively.
Couple & Family Therapy - In Fergus
When we meet I want to make you feel heard. I want you to feel a connection alongside the difficulty you are facing. I take a very non-judgemental approach.
Sometimes, it feels important to reassure clients that I do my own personal care. Over time, folks can feel like they need to take care of me. I make it clear that I get a lot of support professionally and I make sure to give myself time and space to process some of the difficult things I hear as well as do lots of self care.
What I hear from my clients about the benefits of working with me, is that they feel a sense of me 'getting it'. I have been told on many occasions that my non-judgemental approach has helped them after leaving the office. People often leave feeling validated and cared for. Many people I have worked with report that they start to accept their own feelings and difficulties over time and start to like (and then maybe love) themselves more.
As a neurodivergent queer mom, raising neurodivergent queer kids, I have a deep personal interest in making life everywhere more neuroaffirming and more inclusive overall.
It’s important to situate ourselves in terms of our overall culture in order to understand where we need to learn, grow and change, versus where we need to interrogate systems and how they can harm.
